Braeswick Bay

Braeswick  was built by the present owners Alan and Carol who offer you a warm welcome to their bed & breakfast accommodation.

The day/dinning room offers picturesque and panoramic sea views where not only can you see Pool Bay, the Holms of Ire, Westray and the Calf of Eday but also the wildlife in nearby Braeswick Bay. Watch the seals basking in the low tide and the short eared Owls that make regular visits to the south end of the island hunting for the Sanday Voles.

Sanday has a lot to offer visitors with the Croft house, Heritage centre, Start Point lighthouse, Quoyness Chambered Tomb as well as the history of the island and not forgetting the archaeology with new finds being found regularly the latest being a settlement village found at Cata Sands.
